Hooray For All The Mothers!!!!

I've been thinking about mothers lately and how great of a job that mothers do. So often I think that people assume mothers just 'know' it all when it comes down to their child(ren). What I've noticed is that mothers are learning how to be mothers. They are learning and that's okay. People think (and many mothers too) that mothers are supposed to know the in's and outs of the child(ren) as soon as the baby enters the world. How in the world are mothers supposed to know what's wrong with a child when they just met them?! That statement makes me giggle but its true. We've been with ourselves our entire life and we're still learning things about us all the time!

So why am I saying this? I'm saying this because being a mother is HARD! How do we know its hard? Just look at the nightly news and you'll see examples of mothers starving, abusing, and abandoning their children among other things. That shows us that motherhood is not for punks or the weak at heart! It shows us that many have tried and failed miserably but many have tried, never gave up, and are wonderful mothers! For all of the mothers who struggle with 'am I doing a good job? Am i good mother? What am I doing with him/her? I'll never get this right...' I want to tell you that being a good mother is NOT about getting it right all the time. It's about not giving up, trying different things to help your child(ren) grow, loving some young person who really does adore you because you're 'mama', enjoy those moments when love to them is so simple and necessary. Truthfully your child(ren) adores you! So 'HOORAY' for mothers who are there day after day! Who everyday, no matter how horrible yesterday was, get up and begin each day again! HOORAY!!!!!! I applaud you!

Finally, am I a mother?! NO! But the first level of discernment is observation' says Apostle Lafayette Scales. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see the mothers who grind every day for their babies and the 'thank you' that they receive are rare. So THANK YOU mothers for being there for your children! YOU ROCK!!!! lol!

I hope this encourages you a bit :-)
