....WHILE GOD IS STILL WORKING..I still must worship...

I just wanted to share a few songs that minister to me at different times in the last few months:

This song is called 'Away' by Kim 'Kiwi' Pratt. Often times for me I'm my worst enemy and my past seems like my present on some days. For like 2 weeks I just put it on repeat until the words saturated my heart and mind. {i thought for sure a sister was a goner, intercessors help to rebuild my armor, new dawn new day, now a lil stronger.....} Visit her website and store here: www.kiwionline.net or her fb page: http://www.facebook.com/kiwionline

This next song is called 'Give Me Faith' by Elevation Worship. It's difficult to explain how dopetastic this song is to me. It speaks to my situation yet exalts Christ over my flesh. Lately I've been determined to give God more and fulfill my purpose on the Earth. The opposition was strong and I found this song to be a light. While God is still working in me I must worship. I must! This song goes IN every time!

Finally, the last song is called 'The Anthem' by Planetshakers. This song is just awesome. It straight from the throne! It takes my eyes off of my problems and focuses on the fact that I AM THAT I AM is with me. Christ, I Am, defeated the grave for me and there is nothing that can stop the move of God in my life. Enjoy!!!

Let's worship!

Hooray For All The Mothers!!!!

I've been thinking about mothers lately and how great of a job that mothers do. So often I think that people assume mothers just 'know' it all when it comes down to their child(ren). What I've noticed is that mothers are learning how to be mothers. They are learning and that's okay. People think (and many mothers too) that mothers are supposed to know the in's and outs of the child(ren) as soon as the baby enters the world. How in the world are mothers supposed to know what's wrong with a child when they just met them?! That statement makes me giggle but its true. We've been with ourselves our entire life and we're still learning things about us all the time!

So why am I saying this? I'm saying this because being a mother is HARD! How do we know its hard? Just look at the nightly news and you'll see examples of mothers starving, abusing, and abandoning their children among other things. That shows us that motherhood is not for punks or the weak at heart! It shows us that many have tried and failed miserably but many have tried, never gave up, and are wonderful mothers! For all of the mothers who struggle with 'am I doing a good job? Am i good mother? What am I doing with him/her? I'll never get this right...' I want to tell you that being a good mother is NOT about getting it right all the time. It's about not giving up, trying different things to help your child(ren) grow, loving some young person who really does adore you because you're 'mama', enjoy those moments when love to them is so simple and necessary. Truthfully your child(ren) adores you! So 'HOORAY' for mothers who are there day after day! Who everyday, no matter how horrible yesterday was, get up and begin each day again! HOORAY!!!!!! I applaud you!

Finally, am I a mother?! NO! But the first level of discernment is observation' says Apostle Lafayette Scales. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see the mothers who grind every day for their babies and the 'thank you' that they receive are rare. So THANK YOU mothers for being there for your children! YOU ROCK!!!! lol!

I hope this encourages you a bit :-)

*HOLD UP* Let Me Think...

I had been praying for months for God to 'Make a way for the promises to be made manifest in my life. His promises to come to pass.' I had been asking for boldness and clarity to be able to see the door and walk through it when it was time. So yeah that OPPORTUNITY came this past weekend~December, 4, 2010~.
Wouldn't it be dope if I said POW I walked through that door and represented well?! That would be cool! To bad it didn't happen like that!
But what actually happened?
Could the very thing that I prayed for be to much for me to handle?
Was it REALLY a promise from God or was my stomach hurting from eating to much sweets the night before?
Am I really gonna chicken out NOW? Shavra...talking trash-trusting God Shavra!?!
I walked through the door and sat there for a minute and the fear that came upon me was ridiculous! I was scared! Not really scared of the fact that I walked through the door but I'm sitting on the other side of a comfortable prayer and it feels weird. I was standing in my destiny. So what did I do? Did I remain scared? Yep...well at least for a while anyway! :) For the remainder of the day I was searching of places or people to go to for the answer I desperately wanted: dvd rentals, music, writing, texting, tweeting, etc! They all failed. It wasn't all I'm scared! I'm scared! There was a consistent yet power voice in me, no doubt the Holy Spirit, saying 'I'm with You. I won't leave you. I will speak the Words the people need to hear.' Needless to say I struggled the rest of the night Saturday!

Sunday morning I was getting ready for worship and I just wasn't myself. I struggled to find what to wear...*HOLD UP* that's every Sunday! lol. Anyway I really wanted to go to church but my emotions were all over the place. Of course I pressed my way to church! I knew that's where I needed to be. During praise and worship I couldn't get with it. I just stood there and began to speak to God right where I was. *God is good* He began to take all of the fear way from me! Of course the tears were flowing! I had to kneel before Him because He's just awesome. He said, 'I won't leave you daughter. I'm big enough for your dreams and bigger than your fears. You say I am amazing and truly I am. You will see how amazing I am as you go on.' WOW! I thank you Lord for showing me YOU. I knew I needed you but how quickly fear vanished just by your Word.

I'm simply amazed! He's such a gracious and loving Father. He's just amazing! He's just amazing! So what now?! I'm determined to stay in my purpose and not run when I reach my destiny. #Standing Strong and moving forward!

Until next time...

-Purpose Over Problems-

~Purpose over Problems~
The strength and durability of your purpose outweighs the temporal frailty of your problems.-Shavra

IT’S A LIE!!! IT’S A LIE!!!!! I know it may be a difficult way to begin a blog but hey it’s the truth! What’s the lie?! That whatever you feel your shortcomings are that some how they have caused you to be short of God’s ability to use you! I'm going to list a few leaders with a ‘few’ problems:

CASE #1: Deborah: Perhaps one of her biggest problems would be the people of her day. Her gender wasn’t a factor for her but it was a problem for others. From the spirit filled Bible(NKJV): A female judge whose multiple leadership functions demonstrates the possibilities for any woman who will allow Gods spirit to fill and form her life.

CASE #2:The 3 Hebrew Boys: A HOT MESS!!! LITERALLY ! We all know they were thrown into the furnace….seems like a BIG problem right!? But why? Because they refused to allow the music to influence their worship and allegiance to the Real King(don’t worry I’m not gonna go deeeeep into the secular music conversation this time! Lol…breathe). Know this that their purpose was to have faith and that faith outweighed their problems!

CASE #3:The Woman with the Issue of Blood: THE ISSUE OF BLOOD WAS NOT THE ONLY ISSUE SHE HAD! Y’all know that right?! All of her life savings (if she had much…being that she was probably unmarried and jobless due to her medical state) were going towards her health care. The ‘whisperings’ concerning why she always sick probably were rumbling around the social networks of her day! I’m not saying she didn’t have ANY friends…I’m just saying how many of your friends stayed around for more than a couple of years while you worked out some things? Exxxactly! So 12 years of ‘can you give me a ride to the doctor and I don't have gas money???!’ But among her many problems was purpose and persistence. She pressed through the (crowd)pop culture that wanted to see Jesus! The man whom everybody was talking about. Perhaps she knew the value of clothes, the energy of crawling for her last hope, and the COST of healing ! PURPOSE over PROBLEMS!

SO WHAT’S YOUR PROBLEM???? HUH???? Is it sex? Weed? Rejection? Death of a loved one? Depression? Suicidal thoughts? No father? No mother? Low self esteem? Abandonment? Pride? Fear? Feelings of no self worth? Doubt? Religion? Molestation? Abuse? Your Past? Rape? Porn Addict? Over-eater? Sickness? Loneliness? Religion? Whatever it is…there is nothing to hard for God! If you have never heard it before…YOU CAN BE DELIVERED from all of these things! Not only that but God will make you whole and use you! You can plug in your name all throughout this posting. If you are still struggling in some of these areas-know that God cares and He sees you. Don’t give up! Keep pressing! Surrender all things to Him by seeking Him first.
So what can we take from this? That there is a measure of faith in us all. A measure of ‘you can keep going’ in all of us. I pray that this will encourage you that nothing can stop your purpose and destiny!!!!
God loves you soooooo much! Know that joy comes in the morning! Don't allow your circumstances to change your level of praise, prayer, study time, and fellowship!
